Why don't people save: 5 reasons why they don’t work on saving their money and some tips to do it. Saving is a sacrifice most people will have to take at a point of their life. Some more late than others, but why do others not save at all or don’t save soon enough? Here is why.

Most of the time, the things we want in this world won’t work with our budget. You would think people would be motivated to save because of this; instead people often think that saving isn’t needed if there are loans you can receive from the bank. People don’t save “because it’s so easy to borrow” money these days. Even though people know that loans will have to be paid back including interest and it will take a while to pay it all back, Americans tend to want things in the now never the later because it’s just human nature to be inpatient no matter how patient a person thinks they are at some point they won’t be able to wait for something.

Another reason why people don’t save is because they say there is always something they “need.”Let’s say you want the new iPhone, Car, Television and every time a new one comes out, you want to acquire it. But you aren’t realizing the amount of money you’re wasting on unnecessary and expensive electronics. This is or can lead to more bad habits, instead of buying newer model each time, you should get it only when your old one is broken. Not everything is a “need”.

Many people also don’t save money because when it comes to saving money most people might say “you only live once” or want to live the moment. This is common in many people, and it’s a big mistake that many are making. Most individuals tend to use money to pay off debts or for traveling, yet you can still save at slightest money. First, you may start with listing financial priorities and distribute your funds. Take a step and make a change to save money.

A reason why people don’t save is because they don’t take their money to their grave. You may think that just because you don’t take the money with you, you don’t need to save. Ok… but if you don’t save up your money, who will pay for the money expenses of your funeral and health bills if any were still owed. Let’s say that you die at the age of 33, yeah you're gone but you still have a family and with what money are they supposed to survive if you never save and all you said was I’ll do it later. Yup everything catches up.

Another reason why people don’t save is because they make excuses that they don’t have kids/ a family to take care of. Yes, it may only be you, but once you retire? When you’re injured? When you’re sick? Everyone needs to save because you never know what can happen. You may be ok one day but next day you may be in the hospital, and with what money are you going to pay if you never saved because you didn’t have a family. When you save money you live better.
